Getting started

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You don't write code, you don't pick libraries and you don't configure servers. You talk to the agent in your own language and follow the result.

What is a prompt, and do I need to write a super prompt?

A prompt is your written request, and it doesn't have to be elaborate. Explain what you want the way you'd explain it to a person, and keep adjusting. Learn more in Talking to the agent.

Do I have to use a template?

No. You can start from a template or by describing what you want.

A template helps when you already have an idea of the structure, like "I want a members area roughly like this". With it, you start by adjusting the content, without explaining the whole structure.

How do I find a project I already started?

The project is in the project list, in the Launchpad sidebar, at hotmart.build.

Where can I ask questions to other people who build with Launchpad?

In the Launchpad community, on Discord. Ask in the #launchpad-help channel and show what you launched in #made-with-launchpad. The community also holds in-person meetups, with the dates on the calendar. Learn more in Launchpad community.

Can I create an app?

Yes, if it's a web app, which opens in the browser. Launchpad doesn't create native apps for the App Store or Google Play.

Building

How do I bring over a project I built in another tool?

Launchpad doesn't import the project automatically. Open a new project, describe what the page does and paste your texts. The agent builds everything again, with Launchpad's structure.

Where do the videos in my app come from?

The videos come in three ways. You send the video link, from wherever it is. You use a connected account, like your YouTube channel. Or you upload the video to Hotmart Player, from the project's panel.

Do my videos that are already in Hotmart's members area show up here?

Not yet. Launchpad doesn't copy the content that's already in Club. Build the new structure here and bring the videos by link, from wherever they are, or upload them again from the project's Hotmart Player panel.

Does what I ask the agent for show up in Hotmart Club or another Hotmart tool?

No. The agent builds everything inside the app, including a members area, and doesn't touch Hotmart's tools. Learn more in Launchpad and Hotmart.

Does my project work on mobile?

Yes, and the preview shows how it looks. Test it on your phone before publishing, because your audience will also open the app on their phone.

Publishing and selling

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. Every published app already comes with the address project-name.hotmart.app.

Can I change a project after publishing?

Yes. What's live only changes when you publish again, so nothing breaks while you work. The price is the exception: you can still change the amount, but a paid app can't go back to free or switch the charge type.

How do I let the user try before buying?

If the app is a subscription, offer a Trial period when you publish, in the price's Advanced settings. The customer uses the app for a few days before paying.

With a one-time price, the same app doesn't offer a sample. In that case, create two projects: a free one with the sample, and a paid one with the full content.

What happens when someone buys?

Whoever buys gets access to your app right away, with no login for you to create. You get the confirmation with the sale amount and withdraw the money at Hotmart.

Can I link a product I already created at Hotmart?

No. When you publish a paid app, Launchpad creates a new product at Hotmart, with the checkout. Someone who bought another product of yours doesn't get access to the app. Learn more in Sell an app.

Where do I find my app after publishing?

The project is in the project list, in the Launchpad sidebar, at hotmart.build. If the app is paid, the product also shows up at Hotmart, in My Products. Learn more in Sell an app.

How do I see my paid app the way a buyer sees it?

Through the preview. It shows the app exactly as the buyer sees it, with no separate view for the owner. The published app asks you to buy it too, like anyone else. Learn more in Preview.

How much does it cost to use Launchpad?

Right now, nothing. Creating, building and publishing your app costs you nothing. Launchpad is in open beta for all Hotmart customers and Hotmart Fire 2026 participants. Plans haven't been announced yet.

Does Launchpad's members area replace Hotmart Club?

No. The two live side by side. Use Club when the ready structure solves it, and Launchpad when you want a members area in your style. Learn more in Launchpad and Hotmart.
