Launchpad and Hotmart
What comes from each side, what changes for people who already sell on Hotmart, the two addresses, and where Launchpad fits next to Club and Pages.
Launchpad and Hotmart are different products, and each one handles a part of what you do here. The app you build is a separate product: Hotmart handles the sale, and everything else lives inside the app.
What comes from Hotmart
- Your account and login. You sign in with the same Hotmart account, with no new password.
- The checkout and the money. The sale, the payment and the withdrawal happen at Hotmart.
- Your products and buyers. Access for people who bought follows the purchase at Hotmart. Learn more in Sell an app.
- The selling rules. Hotmart defines who can sell and what can be sold.
What belongs to Launchpad
- The project and the code. The agent writes the code, and it's yours.
- The conversation with the agent. Everything you asked for stays saved in it.
- The private preview. It's where you see the project while you build.
- Publishing. Your app goes live at the
.hotmart.appaddress.
In practice, what you build here is your app, published by Launchpad. When you decide to charge for it, the app uses Hotmart's selling structure.
What changes if you already sell on Hotmart
- What you ask for is built in the app. A members area, a page or a sign-up form live inside the app, not in Hotmart's tools, like Club or Pages.
- The agent doesn't access Hotmart's tools. It builds only in the project, and what you already have on Hotmart doesn't change.
- A paid app becomes a product for sale. The product shows up in My Products, but its content is the app itself, not a members area in the Hotmart dashboard.
- The preview is the buyer's view. Launchpad doesn't have a view-as-buyer mode: the preview already shows the app exactly as the buyer sees it.
- A paid app asks you to buy it too. To open the app at its published address, you need to buy the product, like anyone else. To check it without buying, use the preview.
The two addresses
hotmart.buildis where you sign in with your Hotmart account and build. All your projects live there.project-name.hotmart.appis the address of the app you published. That's the one you share.
Hotmart Club
Club is still Hotmart's standard members area, ready to use, with modules and lessons already organized.
Use Launchpad when you want a members area in your own style: another navigation, another look, another way of granting access. You build the members area from what you ask the agent for, with the structure that makes sense for your product.
Choose like this: if the ready structure solves it, use Club. If you need something more specific, build it in Launchpad.
Launchpad doesn't copy the content that's already in Club. Build the structure here and bring the videos by link, from wherever they are, or upload them again from the project's Hotmart Player panel.
Hotmart Pages
Pages is still active, and there's no plan to shut it down in the short term. Over time, part of what it does may move to Launchpad. If that happens, the change will be announced ahead of time, with a planned transition.
